I love this place! It's the best for a quick cheap bite. It's affordable enough for any college student and is located at such a great location.
The inside is cool! I always find something I've never seen on their walls each time I go.
10/10 would recommend -

Best sandwich spot in all of the DFW.
This is THE local spot for UNT students/faculty and Dentonites. The inside is cool, divey, and relaxing for a solo lunch. The ingredients are fresh and beyond tasty. This is an affordable, quick stop that does not skimp on quality. It's one of those rare hidden gems that marks off all the boxes and does not deserve eminent domain. Luckily the majority of patrons are behind this shop, and we will not let this happen without a fight.
So if you're looking for the best sandwich for lunch accompanied with cool decor and low prices this is your spot! -

We recently stopped in for the first time and were really satisfied with our experience. We typically go to their sister location on University as it's more convenient for us, but I wouldn't hesitate to stop by this one if we're near campus.
By the way, I spoke to an employee about the article (March 2019) stating UNT was voting on eminent domain to purchase their property. As of our conversation (mid June 2019) the business has not heard from UNT or been purchased. I would like to say that gives me hope, but I would recommend you stop by as often as possible while you have the chance.
I liked the atmosphere and décor of this location more than their sister store. This place is deceptively small from the outside, but they have a huge amount of seating! I loved the little touch of having a subway turnstile at the beginning of the line. :)
There's lots of wood everywhere, a lot of signs and call outs to both NY and subways. It was just enough, not overdone to the point of being super cheesy. The building was really clean and they had a lot of staff.
I believe I saw 4 or 5 employees on a Sunday afternoon and there may have been more in the back. Regardless, their level of staffing prevented a line from building up and we were in and out, including conversation, very quickly.
I'm not big on sandwiches, but I love sandwiches from these two shops! The veggies are fresh, the bread is thick and soft, they have a great oil & vinegar blend and the prices are so cheap! Prior to trying either of these, the only sandwich shops I liked were Firehouse Subs and Jersey Mike's. These sandwiches are way better than Jersey Mike's and the prices put all other sub shops to shame! Why subject yourself to Subway when you can be eating good and feeling good?
They have roughly 30 types of sandwiches and the prices for a 6 inch will range between $3.50 to $5 with most being under $4. The 12 inch sandwiches are $6 to $9. Sandwiches come with lettuce, tomato, onion, oregano and your choice of sauce and oil & vinegar dressing. You can get extra meat or cheese for $1, bacon for $0.90 and additional toppings are $0.25. Bread options are limited to white or wheat.
The only way I can see you making this a more expensive meal than the competition is if you put every single topping and get extra of everything. I thought their proportions were good on the sandwich, so if you only add an extra 3-4 things, you are still saving money by coming here.
They also offer salads, soup, chili, potato salad, chips, candy, cookies and drinks for really good prices too. If I had to compare the offerings between the two stores, I would say that this one has candy and more soup options while the other location has a much larger selection in size and type of chips, and I think may be slightly cheaper on a few items (we're talking about a dime here).
We got a 12 inch pepper beef and cheese with a drink for just over $8. It was delicious, filling with good quality meat and fresh, crisp veggies. The staff was very welcoming and other customers seemed happy. We were completely satisfied with our experience and in comparison to the average sandwich shop, I can't give this less than 5 stars! -

We usually lunch here when moving our girls in for the school year at UNT. Service and food have been consistently good each time. It's a nice diversion from the chain sandwich shops and tastes similar to subs I've had in NJ. My favorite is the All Stops NY. Love it toasted with the works, along with chips and a drink for a meal. The Sub Hub is located close to campus, within walking distance from many of the dorms. Looking forward to our next visit!
